For 30 years Vanguard has continued to rethink and reinvent how produce journeys from field to table. What started with a goal to elevate the produce business back in 1991 has grown to becoming the most trusted name in reliable, quality–assured and year–round delivery of produce globally.
And while this past year marked a milestone birthday for the company, the pandemic, and prioritizing the challenges associated with it meant any opportunity to bring our global teams together to celebrate were temporary put on hold.
As the world starts to see the light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel, and we can again bring our teams back together in our global offices, we are hopeful a proper celebration will be had in 2021!
But for now, we are taking a quick trip down memory lane and reflecting on some of our key milestones through the past 3 decades produce, people, and promise.
1991: Vanguard was formed and started business on January 2, 1991
1995: Established Santiago, Chile office
1996: Established Cape Town, South Africa office
1997: Established operations in Genoa, Italy
1997: Became the largest USA-based export marketing company
1999: Established Auckland, New Zealand operation
2002: Established Shanghai, China office
2003: Established Tapei, Taiwan office
2006: Established Jakarta, Indonesia office
2011: Established Madrid, Spain office
2014: Established Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office
2015: Established the Vanguard International Group
2016: Established Lima, Peru Office
2016: Completed Challapampa Acquisition
