We are operating in conjunction with the local authorities in all of the global communities where we have offices and conduct business to safeguard our teammates and their families, and to protect our growers’ and customers’ interests.  We have implemented workplace distancing inside our offices to ensure the health and safety of our team and their families.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected by this unprecedented event, and we appreciate all the healthcare workers and people on the front lines, along with governments and local agencies, that are working to contain this coronavirus.

The Vanguard International Group is following our crisis protocols to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on your supply chain. All of our employees are being fully supported by this organization in working remotely as needed. They have all the necessary resources and tools to continue to connect with you to service your needs and requirements seamlessly, and to ensure your supply chain functions continuously during this time.

We are currently not experiencing trucking delays or disruptions. Vessel operations have experienced delays due to port congestion, especially in China, and there have been many blank sailings as carriers reposition container equipment. Ocean carriers have added peak season surcharges to most destinations, as well as implementing a general rate increase (GRI) ranging from $200 to $2,000 per container depending on loading and destination ports. Airfreight rates have skyrocketed as a result of cancelled flights worldwide.
