The team at Vanguard would like to share a socially distant toast to the Year of the Ox! Gung Hay Fat Choy!
February 12th marks the beginning of the Year of the Ox.
Let’s learn a bit more about the year of the Ox!
In Chinese culture, the Ox is a valued animal. With its role in agriculture, positive characteristics, such as being hardworking and honest, are attributed to it. Jupiter Lai, a Hong-Kong based Chinese and Western astrologer, says the ox is “grounded, loyal, gentle and trustworthy.”
In China, the ox is considered an animal of strength that is associated with harvests and fertility.
As you can see, the Ox holds much positive symbolisms for Vanguard and the agriculture and produce industry as a whole. After an unprecedented 2020 many are hopeful the year of the Ox will offer stability and ease.
